Five WSEAS Conferences (TIALS, TPL, PL, LSE, IPM), all related with law
recently taken place in the AULA MAGNA Building of the University
under the sponsorship and great support of the Faculty of Law, Transylvania
University of Brasov, Romania, April 7-9, 2011. This WSEAS multiconference
presented a high-quality three-day program on TRADITION and INNOVATION
in the ACADEMIC LAW SYSTEM (TIALS '11), TECHNOLOGY POLICY and LAW (TPL '11), on
PRIVATE LAW (PL '11), on LIABILITY and SCIENTIFIC ENQUIRY (LSE '11)
and on INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY AND INFORMATION MANAGEMENT (IPM '11).
The meeting was opened by Prof. Cristinel Ioan
Murzea, Dean of Transylvania University and Prof. Angela
Repanovici, General Chairman of the Conferences. Both welcomed the delegates to the Conferences and wished them
participation and a pleasant stay at the Conference. They explained the commitment
of the WSEAS to knowledge transfer activities, particularly those involving
inter-disciplinary fields such as Law. Many topics and various areas of
Epistemology and philosophy of science, Principle of law, Philosophy of law,
Legal positivism as well as modern concepts and methodologies were presented
during the three days of the multiconference. The Rector of the
University, Prof. Cristinel Ioan Murzea,
chaired the opening ceremony and welcomed the delegates to his University.
Prof. Andrea Curea and Prof. Andrea
Zamfir made huge efforts regarding the meeting's arrangements. For
this reason our society wish to thank them both for their help. Many Invited
talks were presented by well known authors, thus enhancing the quality of
the scientific program.
A unique banquet was launched on the second day of the conferences in Aro
Palace Hotel, Brasov with excellent variety of Romanian traditional food and
Transylvania's high wine.
Prof. Cristinel Ioan Murzea, Dean of Transylvania University and
Prof. Angela Repanovici, General Chairman of the Conferences promised to
organize the events again in 2012 or 2013 because, as they told us, “This is a
multi-conference of great interest to law science and humanities.”
These WSEAS conferences in Brasov offered the delegates
a great opportunity for interaction through a
series of social functions and during the banquet (dinner) and coffee breaks. The
conference dinner took place in the Aro
Palace Hotel with a superb buffet.
The occasion was most enjoyable. During the Banquet our delegates learned from

WSEAS Journals: The WSEAS Journals are
entirely independent from the WSEAS Conferences, since they are currently
candidates in ISI Web of Knowledge (all the WSEAS Conferences and Books have
been already in ISI Web of Knowledge). Authors can send (upload) their papers to
WSEAS Transactions regardless of whether they have attended a WSEAS conference
or not. Also the WSEAS Transactions are the only open access journals in the
world where the Authors do not pay any kind of registration fees or publication
fees or "donation" (i.e. the full PDF files of the papers are permanantly open
for everybody, without any restrictions, while the authors are not charged with
any kind of fees). The Editors-in-Chief, being assisted by the members of the
Editorial Boards, are the absolute decision makers for the acceptance or not of
the submitted papers. WSEAS simply prints out the papers in hard copies & on the
