Brief Biography of the Organizer:

I have Graduated in Civil Engineering, having Master’s Degree in Ocean Engineering (1995), I have been awarded Doctor of Engineering on Oscillating Water Column(OWC) wave energy device from Kagoshima University (1999), Japan, under the Japanese Government (Monbusho) Scholarship. After that, I have completed Post-Doctoral Fellowship(2005) at University College Cork, UCC, Cork, Ireland, funded through the Irish Higher Education Society. I have published Five papers in International Journals like ASCE, Elsevier Journal and Presented around 10 International Conferences on various Hydrodynamic aspects of OWC wave power device. I have visited Coastal Engineering labs at Canadian Hydraulics Centre, Hydraulics and Maritime Research Centre(HMRC), UCC, Ireland, Wave Tanks at Kagoshima University Japan. I have been awarded two Travel Grant Fellowship by UK COZONE and by Consultancy Development Council (CDC), New Delhi for attending two different Conferences at UK and India. My present research work on wave cum current forces on non-Circular Cylinders, Reliability Analysis of Caisson Breakwaters, Large Amplitude Motions of Floating bodies. I would like to probe more work on Wave Hydrodynamics related to Coastal Structures. My main mathematical techniques of interest are Numerical Methods, Partial Differential Equations, Integral Equations.
